When faced with discouragement or a feeling of disconnection, it is necessary to remember that no one has the authority to deprive you of your dignity or to define the course of your life. Although you do not control everything that happens, you can decide how to respond. And that choice is yours.
No doubt there will be voices that try to limit you, environments that will sow doubts. But you are not here by mistake. Your direction exists, even if you cannot yet see it clearly. Facing challenges, instead of avoiding them, can reveal a strength you didn’t know you had.
Even when everything seems to be falling apart, there is always the possibility of starting over. When you hit rock bottom, a path opens up to a more willing, more lucid, more determined version of yourself. Don’t waste your energy on what you can’t change. Focus on what you can build.
This is the life you are forging. Don’t put it off. No one can live it for you, or achieve what only you can achieve. Don’t wait for the perfect moment: make it happen. Do it with clarity. Do it with determination. Do it because there is still time to make it worthwhile.”
