“Pursuing a personal goal is a way of saying: this is what I want for myself, and I’m going to go for it. It’s a decision that comes from within, an authentic choice. Now, not everything on that path is easy. There will be moments of tiredness, of doubt, of wanting to stop. And it is precisely at those moments that will is tested: when one chooses to continue, even if it is difficult.
It is not always external obstacles that slow us down the most. Often, what weighs us down is inside. Fear, insecurity, comfort… can make our own abilities lie dormant, without emerging. And to activate that potential, it is not enough to desire something. It is necessary to make decisions, to be constant, to be clear about where you want to go. Without action, desires are not enough.
It also happens that there are people who have stopped believing in their own dreams and, without realizing it, project that onto others. They give advice that sounds sensible, but which, deep down, only justifies their own resignation. That is why it is important to be vigilant and not lose sight of what one has chosen for oneself.
Each of us has to make our own way. Nobody can achieve our goals for us. And if we keep waiting for others to approve, accompany or validate us, all we achieve is to delay our own process. What matters is to sustain our will, even when there are no guarantees. Because many times, what limits us the most is in our head. They are ideas, beliefs, ways of thinking that block us before we take the first step.
Believing in oneself changes everything. It changes how we act, how we relate to what we want. Stopping waiting for things to fall into place is already a way of moving forward. And when one keeps walking, even if it is difficult, when one transforms uncertainty into movement, that is when the difference begins to be noticed.
A real conviction has strength. It is something that can be seen, that can be felt. And if someone tries to stop that impulse, they will come up against an energy built on commitment, effort and coherence. Nobody can guarantee that everything will turn out well, but giving up without having tried is a guarantee that nothing will change.”
