The intention of Sadhana

The serpentine energy will reach the higher centers only when the knots are transcended. Granthis are valves that, when open, allow kuṇḍalinī-śakti to flow. The functioning of these valves is essential to preserve our progress, because when they close in the opposite direction, they prevent regression. The sadhana recommended by the master is intended to prepare us to be an instrument in every aspect and to be appropriate receptacles for the Truth. This practice has an extremely high energetic intensity. The experience of Truth requires an instrument with the proper strength to receive such intensity without the danger of disintegration.
